Born Free 6

Well, there's always an excuse not to go or not to ride there.  Although circumstances didn't align correctly for riding south...  This year Jim made his way down as one of the many journalists, and to see what it's all about.  Basically the breakdown I got was that it's eye opening, people are building the craziest bikes, whether they're famous or not.  Also that the preconceived notions of cool guy contest, and talking shit out of insecurity, envy or lack of ambition is pointless.  We are all into this for different reasons and all take it as far as effort and funding will let us.  All in all it's great seeing time and imagination spent on personal creations.  The soul has not been sucked out.  The real world exists.  Thanks for the photo report dude!!

"Yesterday I sat on a Amtrak train next to a Hungarian man who told me his story of when he came to the US. He worked hard and sacrificed motorcycle racing just so his family could have a good life here. It made it think of how many spoiled people born are so quick to complain about living here, and it bums me out. I love this country."  -Jerome D'James Baaske

Have a great holiday weekend!

A couple months in Jim's camera....

3 bikes blown apart in a dusty rectangle, motor builds while grinders plunge, it all worked out, really learned how to take it slow, too much mess, chill man, each night defined a space.  When the leather couch was breathing we realized the meaning of choppers.  So in that realization our bikes handle unlike sports.

Less words, more effort will result in better times.  If you can't keep up on it, don't talk about it.
Thanks Jim for capturing the pieces...  Lets get campin'..

5 buck hotrod, three on the tree, let's just forget that morning, good hanging dudes!...

In the mechanical world when delusions become dialed the universe aligns to erase the thought.  Throw him a beer, forget it.  Dust off the bench, lower the lights and stare at the beast.

Sometimes it's not for burning..

Recently had a chance to branch out from bikes and fabricate some clean bases and fixtures for Miguel Rivera's wood creations.  The floating/pivoting bed was a beast.  Check out more from his wood lair... Its all wood

The One Show...

Another year gone by, appreciate those who put true time into their craft.  Sometimes we get hung up on those who skim the surface, fool their way into the light.  But when it's all said and done, the genuine ones shine through.  Out there there's a world not so insta, where costume parties and ass kissing do not get you respect. They ask for the secret, stay silent and give it your all.  These machines are limitless.  Thanks to everyone who has helped, inspired, let me cut their bike apart or trusted me with paint.  Enjoy

Truck rust and wall cavities...

More crusty time of the year, a good time for cave men.  Deep clean, power-wash.  The sun's pull is less apparent, crank the heater, burn some pallets, dark at 6pm...  Fight the wind, angle grinder, ear protection, pack-rat.

Let the good times roll...

As few of you may know, and as many may...  Our very own Jim Baaske started his haggard career on a bmx bike..  Flashback city!

We Came for the WIZARD JUICE...

With one sip and a magic grant of the staff, in the mouth then evaporating out your eye sockets before it can even burn its way into your gut, thought you were quick and crazy already?  Wait, saddle up, it's a small push and then a whole lot of downhill...

Bob Seger in the Sky..

Not sure why this post disappeared...  So anyways.

On a long and lonesome highway
East of Omaha
You can listen to the engine
Moanin' out his one note song
You can think about the woman
Or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wandering
The way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours
And there's nothin' much to do
And you don't feel much like ridin',
You just wish the trip was through

Here I am
On the road again
